PIPES

Industrial Pipes for Demanding Applications.
Avasi Energy supplies industrial pipes in Sabah and Malaysia for project, maintenance and operational requirements across oil & gas, petrochemical, energy and process industries.
From carbon steel process piping and line pipe to stainless steel, alloy steel and corrosion-resistant material requirements, we source pipes according to the specified material grade, manufacturing method, dimensions, wall thickness, service conditions, testing and documentation requirements.
Based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Avasi Energy works with manufacturers and supply partners in Malaysia and internationally to support project-specific piping requirements.
PIPE SUPPLY BUILT AROUND THE SPECIFICATION
More Than Size and Schedule.
A pipe requirement is rarely defined by nominal size alone.
Material grade, manufacturing method, outside diameter, wall thickness, schedule, service temperature, design conditions, corrosion requirements, testing and documentation can all affect the required product.
That is why Avasi Energy follows a requirement-first sourcing approach.
We review the customer’s RFQ, material requisition, datasheet and project specification before coordinating suitable pipe options through our supply networ
The right pipe starts with the right specification.
OUR PIPE SUPPLY RANGE
Pipes for Different Service Requirements.
Carbon Steel Pipes
Reliable Piping for Industrial and Process Applications.
Carbon steel pipe remains widely used across oil & gas, petrochemical, process, utility and energy piping systems.
Avasi Energy supports carbon steel pipe requirements according to the specified grade, manufacturing method, dimensions, schedule, service conditions and applicable project standards.
Common project specifications may include ASTM A106/A106M for seamless carbon steel pipe used in high-temperature service and other carbon-steel specifications according to the application. ASTM describes A106 as seamless carbon-steel pipe intended for high-temperature service.
API Line Pipes
Supporting Energy Transportation & Pipeline Applications.
Avasi Energy supports requirements for line pipe used in oil, gas and energy transportation applications.
Requirements may involve API 5L line pipe, with grade, Product Specification Level, manufacturing route, dimensions, wall thickness, testing and supplementary requirements defined by the project specification.
API Spec 5L establishes requirements covering seamless and welded steel line pipe, including manufacturing, inspection, testing, marking and traceability.
Low-Temperature Pipes
Materials for Low-Temperature Service.
Certain piping systems require materials with specified toughness characteristics at reduced operating temperatures.
Avasi Energy can support low-temperature pipe requirements where specified by the project, including requirements associated with ASTM A333/A333M.
ASTM A333 covers seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe for low-temperature service and applications requiring specified notch toughness.
Alloy Steel Pipes
For Elevated-Temperature & Specialised Service.
Alloy steel pipe may be specified for services where temperature, mechanical properties or process conditions require performance beyond conventional carbon-steel grades.
Requirements may include pipe manufactured to specifications such as ASTM A335/A335M, depending on the intended service and project specification.
ASTM A335 covers seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipe for high-temperature service.
Stainless Steel Pipes
Corrosion Resistance for Process Applications.
Stainless steel pipes are used across applications where corrosion resistance, process compatibility and cleanliness are important considerations.
Avasi Energy supports stainless steel pipe requirements in project-specified grades and dimensions, including commonly specified austenitic grades such as 304/304L and 316/316L, where applicable.
Requirements may be specified to standards including ASTM A312/A312M, which covers seamless, welded and heavily cold-worked austenitic stainless-steel pipe for high-temperature and general corrosive service.
Duplex & Super Duplex Pipes
Corrosion-Resistant Solutions for Demanding Environments.
For selected offshore, marine, process and corrosive applications, duplex or super duplex stainless-steel piping may be specified according to service conditions and project requirements.
Avasi Energy can source project-specific duplex and super duplex pipe requirements through suitable manufacturers and supply partners.
Specifications may include ASTM A790/A790M, which covers seamless and welded ferritic/austenitic stainless-steel pipe intended for corrosive service.
SEAMLESS OR WELDED?
Manufacturing Method Matters.
Pipe construction should follow the applicable specification and intended service rather than being selected simply on preference.
Seamless Pipe
Seamless pipe is manufactured without a longitudinal welded seam and is specified across many process, pressure, temperature and specialised piping applications.
Welded Pipe
Welded pipe can be manufactured using different processes depending on diameter, wall thickness, specification and service requirements.
Project requirements may involve configurations such as:
- ERW / HFW
- SAW
- LSAW
- Other specification-approved manufacturing routes
Our Approach
Avasi Energy does not automatically position one manufacturing method as “better”.
We source according to the specified construction, design conditions and project requirements.
MATERIALS & COMMON SPECIFICATIONS
Different Services Require Different Pipe Specifications.
| Pipe Requirement | Common Specifications / Materials |
|---|---|
| Carbon Steel Process Pipe | ASTM A106/A106M and project-specified grades |
| Line Pipe | API 5L |
| Low-Temperature Pipe | ASTM A333/A333M |
| Alloy Steel Pipe | ASTM A335/A335M |
| Austenitic Stainless Steel | ASTM A312/A312M |
| Duplex / Super Duplex | ASTM A790/A790M |
| Sour-Service Requirements | NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 where applicable |
| Carbon / Alloy Pipe Dimensions | ASME B36.10M where applicable |
| Stainless Pipe Dimensions | ASME B36.19M where applicable |
For H₂S-containing oil and gas production environments, ISO 15156 addresses the selection and qualification of metallic materials resistant to relevant cracking mechanisms; applicability must still be determined from the actual service conditions and project requirements
Important: applicable specification, grade and standard edition must always follow the customer’s project documentation.
